Angela Cummings Seashell Earrings

A sculptural pair of vintage Angela Cummings earrings created during her celebrated tenure at Tiffany & Co. in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Executed in rich yellow gold, the design reflects Cummings’ iconic biomorphic aesthetic, with each earring formed as a softly spiraling shell—evoking the natural geometry of a snail or conch. The earrings are completed by an omega back. 

The fluid, dimensional form captures her signature approach: translating organic motifs into refined, wearable gold sculpture. These pieces sit firmly within the period when Cummings was producing some of her most collectible work for Tiffany, characterized by tactile surfaces, elegant curvature, and a quiet but confident presence.
