This stunning French enamel pendant is expertly crafted in 18k gold and features the plique-Ã -jour technique, which allows light to pass through the transparent enamel, creating a radiant, stained-glass effect. Plique à Jour means “Letting in the (day) light”the painstaking process of suspending enamel between gold borders without a backing, allowing the light to shine through and illuminate the colors.
The enamel design forms a beautiful floral mandala, with blue ombre petals, a central red flower, and green accents. The pendant’s simple border frames the intricate design, and the back of the piece is engraved with Cathedral D’Amiens along the bottom edge.
