French Augis 18k Qu'Hier Pendant Blue Enamel

This authentic French médaille d'amour, or love medal by Alphonse Augis is inspired by the quote, “plus qu’hier, moins que demain" The French phrase translates to “more than yesterday, less than tomorrow,”
and was adapted from the couplet, "For, you see, each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow." This is part of a poem called “The Eternal Song” written by Rosemonde Gérard.

This idea of eternal love, one that continues to grow over time, for a lover or for ourselves, and is (re) made each day anew.

The pendant is crafted in solid 18 katat yellow gold  the plus and  the minus to symbolize this message. The background is in a cobalt blue enamel. 

This pendant is an excellent vintage condition with very few surface scratches.
